Everything You Need to Know About Cebu Pacific’s Study Now, Pay Later Cadet Pilot Program
Cebu Pacific’s Cadet Pilot Program is a 56-week long program sponsored by the airline for 16 to 20 pilot cadets per batch, three to four times a year. In total, 48 to 60 cadets will be sponsored every year for five consecutive years which is 240 – 300 pilot cadets studying in Adelaide, Australia and making their dreams come true.
Selected candidates for the program will be required to complete the following assessment tasks to be considered for the program:
- Core Skills test that consists of Reading and Numeracy Tests in English
- Pilot aptitude test or PILAPT that shows your abilities in skills and tasks related to piloting
- Personality questionnaire
Students who completed the program will have the following nationally recognized qualifications in the Australian Qualifications Framework:
- AVI60216 Advanced Diploma of Aviation (Pilot in Command)
- AVI50415 Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating)
- AVI50215 Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence Aeroplane)
For the full duration of the course, students are required to stay in the FTA campus as the program will cover their full board and lodging, including bed linen, towels, uniforms, and other needs.
Training in Adelaide, Australia
The first four weeks of the training will start in and 52 weeks will be done in Adelaide, Australia. The transportation to Australia will be covered by Cebu Pacific so cadets need not worry about that expense. As for the visa, FTA will only provide the documents and endorsements needed to get a student visa but it is the cadet’s responsibility to complete the requirement for processing of the Australian Embassy in Manila.
Bond with Cebu Pacific
Based on Flight Training Adelaide FAQ, cadets will need to sign a training agreement that will require them to provide at least 10 years of continued service to the airline. During this period, the amount of all the expenses incurred during the training will be deducted from the monthly salary at zero interest.
The great thing about this program is that candidates are guaranteed a job upon completion and passing the ab initio course, aircraft type training and line training.
