7 Places to Watch Free Grand Fireworks Display on New Year’s Eve 2018
Okada Manila’s new year celebration includes live entertainment, light show at the Fountain and a grand fireworks display at exactly 12 midnight. The countdown starts at 6:00 PM until 12:30 AM. Many guests are expected to watch so be sure to arrive early to get the best spots.

In collaboration with GMA 7, SM Mall of Asia will host an awesome fireworks display at exactly 12 midnight on January 1. The countdown begins earlier and it will feature not only marching bands but also celebrity performances.

Now if you’re from Quezon City, you can visit Quezon Memorial Circle for their festive fireworks display on New Year’s Eve. In the previous years, the park has been working with TV5 network for their New Year’s celebration so many are hopeful that they will have the same colorful welcome this year.
For residents from Makati, worry not as the city is also hosting their very own fireworks display. The celebration is based on New York’s popular street party so attendees can expect food booths, live performances, street markets and endless street parties. That being said, Makati’s New Year’s Eve countdown is ideal if you will be visiting with friends.
Marikina’s Christmassaya Carnival will also be hosting their own grand fireworks display. A series of acts and performances are also expected to make sure to be in the area by 7:30 PM. And while waiting for the New Year’s eve to come, why not enjoy the carnival rides with the kids.
For those who can’t wait until 12 AM to enjoy the colorful fireworks, head to Trinoma or Alabang Town Center. Aside from their weekend fireworks, they will also have a fireworks display at 8:00 PM in Trinoma and 6:45 PM at Alabang Town Center. If you can be at Trinoma by 7:00 PM, you can enjoy the musical performance of their Yuletide Rhythms Park Music Series.
Last but not the least is at Rizal Park yearly New Year’s Eve fireworks display. If you want to get the best spots, make sure you get there early as hundreds of people are always expected to come in the park. You can bring your own food and picnic mat but you can also opt to buy from the street vendors around the area.
