DOTA 2: The Biggest Galaxy Battle Tournament Is Happening in the Philippines!
Galaxy Battles is back and it’s going to be bigger, better and held in the Philippines. According to its organizers, they plan to reinvent this year’s DOTA 2 e-sports competitive scene by merging the worlds of the amateur and professional scene. This has never been done in the history of DOTA 2 so its nothing like any player has ever seen.
For starters, the main event will be held in the biggest indoor stadium in the country, Philippines Arena, Bulacan, which features a 60,000 seating capacity. In addition, they will also feature a DOTA 2 themed activities called “The Galaxy Battles DOTA 2 World” that features theme park like activities, food and drinks booths and even rest pods when players get tired. Of course, there are also sponsorship areas where the event’s partners can showcase their products and services.
But wait, there’s more! The event will also feature a “The Galaxy Entertainment Arena” which is the open-air stadium next to the Philippines Arena that features a music festival. It includes not only local artist but also regional and international artists. Best of all, you don’t have to worry about getting around all the events as shuttle buses will be provided.
The new Galaxy Battles introduces a new experiential event components that are not just for DOTA 2 Players and fans but also to anyone who has never experienced the world of gaming.
The Galaxy Battles Major will be held on January 19, 20 and 21, 2018. It is designed by two of the biggest e-sports organization in the region, Fallout Gaming, and Purpose Win Entertainment Limited.
