How to Apply for a Philippines Passport (Part 1)
When you’re finally ready to start your travel adventure abroad, one of the first thing you must learn is how to get passport online. I believe its not possible to apply for a passport Philippines directly to DFA Manila so the only other way to consider is to apply by a travel agency. However, if you want to minimize your expenses, applying for a passport online is definitely the better choice. So without further ado, here is a step by step guide how to get a passport or renew a passport in the Philippines.
Schedule an Appointment at DFA Manila or in Any of its Branch
So the first thing you need to do is schedule your appointment at the closest DFA site in your area. If you’re in Manila, you have several branches to consider and I personally recommend the ones in the mall because its easier to find a parking and your companions can go around while waiting for you.
The soonest schedule you can get is usually one to three months away from the day of booking. Enough time for you to gather all your requirements before your appointment day arrives. So if you’re ready, you can set your appointment from this site:
If you’re applying by yourself, choose “Start Individual Appointment” and click “OK” in the dialog box that appears. From there you will be asked to choose your preferred branch, schedule, personal information and contact information. After filling up the form, you need to log in to your email and confirm your appointment. You should receive an email that says “Please confirm your chosen appointment by clicking here” Be sure to click the “here” word to complete the process.
Once you have confirmed your schedule, remember that its important you do not miss your appointment or you will not be able to re-apply for a certain number of months. You only have 72 hours to confirm your schedule or you will have to re-apply again in their site.
